In Madrid, people are out and about celebrating the holidays as early as the week-end prior to "el dia de la Constitución", December 6th. Friends meet for fun, wearing all kinds of colorful wigs and masks (sold at the Christmas market in Plaza Mayor). The idea is to have a good time and get in the holiday spirit!
